A classic raised bed can only be used from above. An open box, which is filled with soil and plants. This expan-dable bed, on the other hand, can also be planted on the sides. It functions as a flower bed, vegetable grower or herb garden, each plant will find a place that suits it’s ideal conditions, thanks to the different levels.
To make assembling the bed as simple as possible, I have developed two patterns that can be inserted into each other. No glue or tools are required. The individual levels allow the user to decide for themselves how high the bed is stacked, to create only as much height as needed.
I made a clay pot, that is fired at a low temperature. This will keep it permeable to water. The soil in the bed, can always draw exactly as much water from the bucket as it needs. However, if the soil is moist enough, the water remains in the bucket. Therefore, it is not absolutey necessary to water all the plants every day.
